Eribel manufactures and installs an extensive range of smoke-resistant products. The purpose of smoke resistance is to restrict the passage of cold and hot smoke through doorsets and partitions, helping to protect escape routes and limit the spread of smoke during a fire. Eribel's smoke-resistant products have been tested according to the latest European standards.

Smoke permeability Sa (cold Smoke): Provides resistance to cold smoke at ambient temperatures, helping to protect escape routes during the early stages of a fire. To achieve a Sa classification, smoke leakage must not exceed 3 m³/h per metre of gap length at a pressure differential of 25 Pa, excluding leakage through the threshold gap.
Smoke permeability Sm (hot smoke): Provides resistance to smoke at both ambient temperatures and 200°C, offering enhanced smoke control performance under fire conditions. To achieve an Sm classification, smoke leakage must not exceed, 20 m³/h for a single-leaf door set, or 30 m³/h for a double-leaf door set, at a pressure differential of 50 Pa.
